Choose the booking route
Use the city facility booking system for recreation rooms, gyms, fields and other listed recreation spaces. Arena requests four days or more ahead use the rental request form. Outdoor sportsfield applications go to rentalpermits@markham.ca.
Cultural and community venues such as the theatre, gallery and museum have separate staff-led rental processes. The city’s featured venues are not a claim that every space has the same equipment, fees or cancellation policy. Obtain the specific contract for the intended venue and use.

Discounted last-minute ice and turf
The listed last-minute rates are $110 per hour for ice and $76 for turf, plus HST and applicable insurance. Requests are made online 24 to 72 hours ahead, first come, first served. Staff review a pending contract and email the completed contract for signature and return.
These rentals cannot be cancelled, refunded, credited or added to an existing rental. A maximum of 25 participants applies. Ice bookings require at least one hour, including 50 minutes of play and a ten-minute flood, with CSA-approved hockey helmets and skates. Turf allows specified sports such as soccer and flag football, but no hard-ball activities or cleats. Use clean indoor athletic shoes and do not fix objects into the surface.
