Included items and location approval
The published price is $2,640 plus $343.20 HST, for a total of $2,983.20. It covers a powder-coated steel municipal bench, precast concrete pad, plaque, delivery and installation. This is not a purchase of park land or a privately owned movable bench.
Parks, Forestry and Horticulture staff help find a suitable location. They try to accommodate a preferred park or spot, but a full park may require another choice. Submit the application and payment after a location is approved.

Installation and ten-year terms
Installation is normally two to six months after application. Weather, manufacturer supply or construction preventing access can extend that period. The bench remains city property and cannot be removed after installation.
The city maintains and repairs the bench for up to ten years. During that term it provides one bench replacement if damage is beyond repair, and one replacement plaque. After ten years, the applicant may ask about extending the agreement for another ten years, subject to a condition assessment. Call 905-477-5530 or email customerservice@markham.ca to start.
