About the Position
Identigate Security Services Inc. is seeking a highly experienced, confident, and professional Tactical Security Guard to join our team at a commercial office property in North York.
We are looking for a mature, disciplined, and dependable security professional with a strong command presence, excellent judgment, and the ability to independently manage security operations while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional situational awareness, effective communication, sound decision-making, and the confidence to uphold established security protocols and property regulations consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional, and authoritative security presence throughout the property.
- Enforce property regulations, access control procedures, and security protocols consistently and professionally.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior security patrols.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and respond appropriately to security concerns.
- Exercise sound judgment and take appropriate action in situations requiring immediate attention.
- Apply effective conflict resolution, de-escalation, and incident management techniques.
- Maintain effective communication with property management, building occupants, visitors, and emergency services.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies.
- Prepare comprehensive daily occurrence reports, incident reports, and security documentation.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and independent decision-making while adhering to company policies and applicable legislation.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or comparable protective services experience.
- Proven experience in security operations, incident response, and conflict resolution.
- Strong command presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidence, assertiveness, emotional intelligence, and professional judgment.
- Ability to remain composed, decisive, and professional under pressure.
- Strong understanding of security procedures, access control, and emergency response.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and exceptional reliability.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, corrections, or comparable protective services.
- Experience as a Tactical Security Guard, Security Supervisor, or Senior Security Officer.
- Previous security experience in commercial office buildings, corporate facilities, or complex properties.
- Advanced training in conflict management, crisis intervention, de-escalation, or defensive tactics.
- Knowledge of Ontario's Trespass to Property Act and applicable security legislation.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.

Compensation
$19.00–$23.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies.
