JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Associate Finance Manager-level professional to support a Direct Fulfillment and customer delivery organization.
This individual will provide financial analysis and business partnership across delivery and fulfillment operations, including store-to-customer delivery, vendor-direct delivery, eCommerce fulfillment, distribution, transportation, and broader supply chain operations.
The role will have significant ownership over P&L analysis, month-end activities, financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision support. The ideal candidate can go beyond reporting numbers to identify trends, develop assumptions, and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
The position does not currently have direct reports; however, candidates with demonstrated leadership experience may be considered at the Associate Finance Manager level.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and analyze financial performance across customer delivery and Direct Fulfillment operations.
- Review and analyze P&L results, identifying key drivers, variances, risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Support month-end close, including ensuring journal entries and required financial activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Step into a leadership role within the team when the manager is unavailable and help ensure key month-end deliverables stay on track.
- Develop financial models, reporting, and analysis to support business decisions.
- Analyze costs associated with areas such as transportation, distribution, fulfillment, inventory, and operations. These cost areas are also specifically identified in the public posting.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, and other business stakeholders.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear assumptions, insights, and recommendations for leadership.
- Present financial results and recommendations during monthly leadership/stakeholder meetings.
- Support forecasting, planning, budgeting, productivity, and cost-management initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, control costs, and drive stronger financial performance.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3–5+ years of relevant finance/financial analysis experience.
- Strong experience with financial analysis, P&L management, forecasting, reporting, and/or month-end close.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and working with large or complex datasets.
- Experience with Tableau and Google BigQuery (GBQ).
- Exposure to SQL. Candidates do not need to be advanced SQL developers, but should understand how SQL is used to query and analyze data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to take financial information beyond reporting and provide assumptions, recommendations, and actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly presenting financial information to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through people leadership and/or significant cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to communicate examples with enough depth to clearly explain the situation, individual contribution, analysis performed, decision made, and business impact.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience supporting Supply Chain, distribution, logistics, transportation, fulfillment, or related operations.
- Previous retail industry experience.
- Direct people leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience.
- Exposure to AI productivity/analytics tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Gemini.
- CPA, MBA, or another relevant professional designation is an asset, consistent with the public posting.
Vacancy: This posting is for a currently vacant role, and the successful candidate will be hired into an existing open position.
